5 Unique Bridesmaid Proposal

Back List

You probably planned to host an ‘in-person’ bridesmaids proposal for your squad; however, it is safer to find other alternative ways given this current pandemic. The below are some ideas for you to give your bridesmaids-to-be a creative and sweet surprise.

1. Send a Bouquet of Flowers

Contact a local floral boutique and handpicked the flower arrangements for your bridesmaids. Besides the bouquet, also write a handwritten card for your bridesmaids’ proposal. If you want to give more surprises, also deliver their favorite Starbucks drink. At the end of the day, so who can’t say no to their free coffee?

2. DIY Proposal Box

We know there are tons of proposal boxes out there, but making your own can help you save some $$. First off, purchase a cute box or Target or Walmart. Second of all, you would need to prepare the gifts you would like to put inside. Don’t forget your bridesmaids’ proposal card! If you want some mysterious and anticipating effect, try a scratch-off card instead. Items you can put in your box are a bridesmaid robe and color swatch for them to choose the color of the bridesmaids’ dress. Besides the robe or color swatch, other items you can give are to compose an at-home spa box, which is perfect for your stay-at-home girls. Things you can put are nail polish, bath bomb (who doesn’t love a colorful Lush bath bomb ), scented candle, cute accessories, and a box of treats (chocolate or macaroons, or even both!).

3. Ask with a Balloon

We say, ‘pop the balloon; I pop the question.’ For this bridesmaids’ proposal, prepare a balloon, a safety, and a notecard. First, hide the card inside the balloon and then deliver the balloon to her place. After your bestie pops the balloon and sees the card, then POP THE QUESTION. For the extra effort, add confetti or glitter in the ballon for that additional surprise factor.

4. “Afterzoom” Tea

If you prefer a more wholesome proposal experience, try an ‘Afterzoom’ tea. Plan with your entire crew with a cooking-making session. While all of you have your treats together, spill your bridesmaids’ proposal and let them know how much they meant to you and how much it means to have them stand alongside you at your wedding. A bonus to have for your “Afterzoom” Tea is to have a glass of champagne if you would like to go a little bougie.

5. “Insta-Love”

For all the Instagramers out there, this is the idea for you! Make a live video for your proposal. Make sure all of your bridesmaids-to-be will be viewing your live! Having a live video proposal also allows other guests to follow your nuptial journey and creative, fun interactions. Tell us which idea you are interested in!

If you happen to surprise your bridesmaids-to-be with one of the proposed methods above, share their reaction with us!
