Bascially, anything that is brand new. Since you and your partner are entering a new milestone in your lives, something new would be a symobilc act to celebrate this. A treat for yourself! It symbolizes a hopeful future.

Something Borrowed

We all want blessings and good luck in marriage. Anything borrowed from a married couple, including parents, relatives, or friends. It symbolizes the transfer of luck from the other bride.

Something Blue

Blue symbolizes purity, love, and fidelity. It also wards you from the Evil Eye. Traditionally, brides would bear a blue garter. But now, you can do something blue with other blue objects.

A Sixpence in Your Shoe

A small penny that symbolizes wealth & prosperity. The tradition started from UK which bride would use ‘six pence’. However, in the US use a penny instead. The penny is given to the bride before she walks down the aisle as a blessing for luck.
