Real Afarose Wedding: Co-Founder Irene’s Twilight Inspired Wedding

Ahh! What is more exciting than receiving your wedding gallery and getting to relive one of the most special days of your life! Our Co-Founder, Irene, tied the knot in October and we have been eagerly looking forward to admire her gallery from SoCal photographer @natashad.photography. Scroll down to see her one-of-a-kind wedding dress, sage green bridal party, and all the twilight-inspired details from her wedding day!

Let’s start with the juiciest details, her wedding dress!

Irene worked closely with the Afarose designers to bring her dream dress to life. She really loved the idea of the convertible wedding dress trend, I mean who doesn’t want two dresses in one?! Her dress features removable, lace long-sleeves that she was able to easily take on and off throughout her night. Our favorite detail was the illusion lace hip insets. Perfect for ladies looking to add the illusion of more figure-flattering volume.

Hair and Makeup were done by Irene’s close colleague, Lynn aka @lynnlmakeup. You may recognize her name from our “3 Tips On How to Choose A MUA For Your Wedding” where we interviewed Lynn on her best MUA tips for brides! Irene chose a soft natural eye with a flattering lip, and a sparkly up-do.

We love to see all the bridal details! Here are her scent, jewelry, and shoes from the big day.

Irene chose the popular mismatched bridesmaid dress trend for her bridal party of 4!

Two bridesmaids wore a lighter shade of green called Celadon, and two wore a deeper tone named Eucalyptus. Irene let her bridesmaids choose their favorite style to wear! From left to right, the dresses are named Selena in Eucalyptus, Fay in Celadon, Marta Allure in Eucalyptus, Kay Allure in Celadon. How beautiful do these tones look together?!

Socal florist @theflowerlab create all her bouquets and table pieces.

The bridal party weren’t the only ones to wear Afarose dresses.

The mother of the bride and groom were also dressed in our gowns. Irene’s cutie mother wore Bear in Dusty Blue and her Fiance’s mother wore Alberta in Dark Navy. How gorgeous are they?!

Now for the venue and vendor details!

Irene had her beautiful California wedding at a Malibu venue called the Calamigos Ranch in the Birchwood Room. It’s nestled in the heart of the Santa Monica Mountains in Malibu Wine Country! This venue gave us all the magical tree-house vibes.

The ceremony was below the reception area, with a grand entrance framed by two stunning trees! The floral covered arch was probably our favorite part! (All of our 14-year old selves are screaming at the twilight similarities!)

Their night ended with a whole lot of dance moves courtesy of musician @invisibletouchevents! We love all the FUN action shots!
