What’s a more romantic spot to pop the question than the beach? The waves of the water make for a serene background, the wind in your hair perfect for that movie-moment, and all the sand for the playful spirits. Proposing at the beach is a beautiful option and can be done in so many unique ways, big or small. If you’re looking for a few ideas on how to create a special ambiance, scroll down to see our top tips.

Tip: Plan your proposal around golden hour (1 hour before sunset) for the most dreamy lighting!

1. Flower Petals and a Bouquet

Flower petals are the easiest way to add passion to any scene. Scatter them around your setup and be sure to have a matching bouquet to take home to extend this beautiful memory!

2. Champagne

The traditional way to celebrate! Don’t forget her favorite bottle of champagne or drink of choice! This is also a great prop for photos to get that super fun Champagne Spray shot!

3. Blanket and Cute Table

The backbone of your setup. Find a nice blanket, preferably neutral or her favorite color! Pillows are a great touch too. This should be a cozy spot for you two to snuggle up afterwards. A nice foldable lap table is a great height for this. Perfect to hold the champagne, glasses, and flowers.

3. Lights, Lanterns, Bonfire

Now we’re getting to the ambiance. Since you’ll be proposing near sunset, adding more lighting will turn up the heat, maybe even literally. There are a few options for lighting such as fairy lights on the ground, little lanterns, candles, or even a bonfire. Make it special to you as a couple.

5. Music or Guitar

Lastly, set the mood with your favorite song. Music and scents are the two biggest reminders of memories, so attaching them to this moment will always hold it close to your hearts. You can bring a bluetooth speaker or bonus points if you know how to play guitar or another instrument! (Another great prop for photos.)
