Intimate and Moody La Jolla Wedding Styled Shoot: Coffee Shop and Beach Photos with Seals and A Rainbow

At the end of January, we hosted our first Wedding Styled Shoot in La Jolla, California! We teamed up with the wonderful wedding coordinator Mandy from @lettuceplanit to plan this whole day. All photos were taken by Socal wedding photographer Rachel @Rachelnicolephoto.
On a gloomy and rainy day in La Jolla, California, our team set out to host our first brand hosted wedding styled shoot.Despite the less than ideal weather conditions, we were determined to make the shoot a success!
We started out the day in a local coffee shop @JavaEarthCoffee, creating an intimate atmosphere for the beginning of our photoshoot. The cozy ambiance of the coffee shop, paired with the warm lighting, made for some stunning, intimate shots.
Our models looked stunning, with the bride wearing a beautiful beachy gown, Afarose Freya Gown, and the groom dressed in casual neutrals.
The three bridesmaids wore a serene palette of blue, made up of Afarose shades - Blue Glow, Dark Navy, and Dusty Blue.
Socal florist @ginkgo.atdawn, crafted an exquisite arrangement of white blossoms and natural greenery, both as a stunning floor piece and a captivating bouquet.
Our photographer @rachelnicolephoto only had one rule when finding a model for our shoot and that was “They MUST be in love!”. Audrey and Rusty shared endearing moments together, with a special serenade from Rusty!
After capturing some stunning photos in the coffee shop, we headed down to the La Jolla Cove beach. The weather was still gloomy, but the moody atmosphere made for some beautiful and dramatic shots. As we walked along the beach, we were delighted to see seals playing in the water. It was a magical moment that we knew we had to capture.
Getting down to the beach required a little maneuvering! And our models stayed warm and dry under umbrellas while we set up to shoot.
All of our models were troopers in the slightly rainy weather! They even shared a lot of laughs! It’s so important to have chemistry between all your models for a styled shoot.
La Jolla Cove has a unique rock cave that our daring couple climbed into for these insane shots!
As the shoot was wrapping up, a gorgeous rainbow appeared in the sky. It was the perfect ending to an incredible day. Despite the challenging weather conditions, we were able to capture some stunning photos and had a lot of fun being creative.
Overall, our first brand hosted wedding styled shoot in La Jolla, California was a huge success. It was an opportunity for us to showcase our brand and our vision for our wedding dresses, and we couldn't be happier with the results! We're already looking forward to hosting our next styled shoot, and we can't wait to see what new and exciting moments we'll capture.
