Win bridesmaid of the year award by learning all of these pinterest-worthy posing ideas for your bride. Help ensure that your bride adores her photos - and the best part is, that's one less thing on her extremely full plate. Wether you're the bride or a bridesmaid, this posing guide will be immensely useful for the big day. Yes, your photographer will most likely guide you to do most of these poses, but it definitely doesn't hurt to be prepared. Pictures are one of the only things you can take away from the actual day. Other than the candids and ceremony pics, here are important moments to add to your shot list!
Oh and fun fact…Most candid shots are not actually candid. Prompts are a photographer's best friend when it comes to capturing natural reactions and emotions. We won't give all the secrets away, but we love to give you the most to be prepared!
First up: Getting ready shots.
Silk Robes.
We love a silk robe moment. Once you and the rest of the bridesmaids have your hair and makeup done, gather all the girls up on the bed, blast your favorite party song, and hype the bride up for her big day! If you want to get wild - popping that bottle of champagne makes for such playful shots.

First Look with Bride.
If you think First Looks are cute with the groom, do a quick google search for Bridesmaid First Looks…so underrated! Nothing beats the emotion and tears from all the bride's personal biggest fans. Who better deserving of the true first look? Think about that - we'll wait.

Pre-ceremony drinks!
You cannot forget to send the bride off to her big day without a celebratory first drink. This is her last moments as a single woman (according to her tax filing status). Take this time to share some last minute laughs, stories, and maybe even create some viral tik toks. Bottoms up ladies!
Dress Fluff.
Shots like these truly show the love and care all you girls have for the beloved bride. Gather everyone up and help fluff the dress, adjust the veil, or add the finishing touches to your queen.

Next up: Bridal Party.
Standard Looking At Camera.
This shot is a classic. The perfect shot of the bride and her support system looking their best. Make sure all your flowers are being held at the same height!
Flowers up!
The anticipation is over. Your close one has just married the love of their life - it's time to celebrate! We love a cheering photo to show all this emotion. Let out a squeal and show your excitement for the newly weds.
Look At Bride.
Line everyone up and share cheeky looks with your bride. Have bride look at each bridesmaid one by one, and watch the laughs erupt!

Show off the back.
It's actually a crime to forget the underrated back of the dress shot! The bride isn't the only one with unique designs hiding in the rear. Turn everyone around and put your arms around each other for a sweet intimate moment.

Walking Shots.
These are one of the best ways to get those candid looking Vogue shots. The prompt from your photographer usually includes “Walk towards me and look around at each other. Laugh. Bump Hips.” Time to practice your best strut in the mirror.
Individual shots with the bride.
Normal Smiling Shot.
Each bridesmaid was chosen for a reason. You are a special and important part of the bride's wedding day. She specifically chose you to be standing next to her in these photos that she will have forever. Taking individual shots with each bridesmaid ensures time to celebrate just that.
Fun Shot!
Make sure to include a personalized pose that represents your relationship with the bride. This can be looking at each other laughing, a special handshake or dance, anything goofy and timeless. The normal smiling shots are great, but this is the photo that will make you smile every time you look back on them.
