Wedding florals are kind of a BIG deal. Wether you're an extravagant bride who needs flowers draping every entrance, or a minimalist bride who is just looking to elope, flowers are an essential part to your special day. We recently worked closely with a professional florist based out of Los Angeles, Patrick at Once Upon A Florist, who has been perfecting his craft for 5 years now. We told him a few words to describe our vision, along with some inspiration photos (from his own IG page) and he handled the rest. Patrick personally delivered breath-taking pieces and truly made the experience working with him a breeze - we had to ask him for a few tips to share with all our Afarose Brides. 1. Pick Flowers That Are In Season For Your Wedding.
Brides must trust that their florists will pick the best flowers that the market has. This is also a way to timestamp your wedding, knowing that certain flowers are only available during certain time of the year!
2. Don’t Be Afraid Of Colors!
Most couples tend to choose neutrals as their color motif to ensure timelessness, but colorful florals can be a great way to offset the neutral table accents and decors of your wedding. (We added some light pink florals in these floor pieces to bring in the pink of the dresses).
Dresses pictured are Prudence in Dusty Rose, Kama in Blushing Pink, and Ona in Vintage Mauve.
3. Your Vision And Your Florist’s Creativity Has To Be A Collaboration - A Marriage Even!
Trust, communication and a shared goal is important so make sure you feel compatible with which ever vendor you go with.

4. Match Your Flowers To Your Wedding Theme.
You can do this by anchoring your wedding theme with 3 words that you want your guests to describe it as, when they leave your event! Those three defining words would really help your florist when pairing flowers and foliage together! For example - modern, boho, feminine.
