How to Plan Your Anniversary Reception

How to Plan Your Anniversary Reception

Back List

You might be wondering what an anniversary reception is an anniversary reception? Is it the same as a typical reception? It is a celebration that occurs on a married couple’s wedding anniversary. This allows couples to celebrate their world-have-been wedding day at a later day. It typically honors their original wedding plans.

An anniversary reception is different from a sequel wedding. It includes all the details of the reception details, such as the first dance, catering, and after-party. BUT, it doesn’t have a ceremony.

Now, let’s dive in and see how to create your dream anniversary reception!

If you already have your dream team:

Awesome! You probably have found the vendors you want to work with during your initial *pre-covid* wedding plan. First, set up your new date for your anniversary reception and have your vendors confirm the new date. We recommend still putting your guest-list on a smaller scale just for safety measurements. With a smaller guest size, you get to re-evaluate your relations with all the guests and keep the people you find important and close to. We love a smaller guest size because you can have an additional budget to use on guest entertainment and meal quality. Super cool things we recommend you incorporate are mobile bar carts, an interactive photo booth, and even a snow-cone machine.

If you haven’t started with finding your dream wedding team: Here are some essential things to have in mind which will be an excellent start for you.

Just like how you planned your #minimoni or #smallwedding plan, you can also use the same concept in your anniversary reception. Think if you’re going to use the same style/concept you used in your wedding, or you would want to use sth totally different. After the visualization then you would need to decide on the budget, details, and the date (be flexible about it is key).

Something we would want to bring up is you can choose to have a more laid-back anniversary reception. Opt for wedding dresses that more minimalistic and simple. A casual wedding dress is also great for the bride since it would be more comfortable and you would be able to move freely. Check our previous blog post if you are currently shopping for a lightweight/boho-style wedding dress.

*Don’t forget to maintain any Covid safety measurements according to current situation*
