I got this as a try at home dress. I’m 5’7” and pear shaped. The dress itself feels nice. It’s a couple of layers and has a nice weight to it. Really pretty details with the appliqués. The actual buttons and the train make the back of the dress gorgeous. This silhouette, however, is not for me. I feel like it was too tight in the hips and didn’t give me any shape. On the right body though it would be a keeper! As a side, the dresses were sent packed tightly into a small box. They arrived in garment bags but the gowns were not on hangers, buttons were undone and this one had pet hair on it when I took it out of the bag. It’s fine for a try on and I’m grateful that Afarose offers this as an option but it kind takes away from the “experience.” That said I would definitely still recommend the try at home option if you’re unsure.

I loved this dress! It came in quickly & looked exactly as expected. The sleeves were a little opened at the end but this gave good room for the arms to move. The padding was supportive for the bust & I loved the train and detail on the back. I would probably size up one size from what you think because I would’ve liked to see a little more room in the hips/torso, and I think this would make the dress the perfect length. Of course being long sleeved the dress was a little hot so I don’t think I will go with this one for my Texas Summer wedding but it’s a gorgeous dress!

My at home try on was a pleasant experience. I ordered the Vita gown on a Sunday night and it arrived the very next day. I was very pleased with the quality of the product I however suggested ordering maybe one size bigger. I ordered a size 4, my usual clothing size but the Vita gown did not close completely. The dress itself is beautifully detailed with lace and eye catching clear sequins that reflect light. I highly recommend Afarose

Stand straight with barefoot together. Measure the length from the hollow space between your collarbones to the floor
Stand straight and look straight ahead. Keep your arm and shoulder relax in a natural position. Measure along the natural curve of your body, from the left shoulder to the right.
Place the tape measure around your neck where your collar would lay. Leave enough room to breathe. The tape should be held comfortably snug against the skin of the neck.
Let your arm rest naturally. Measure around the fullest part of your bicep. Ensure you have a nice snug measurement.
The back length measurement is the vertical distance between the base of the neck and waist. Measure from the back to ensure your tape is flat.
Let your arm relax and rest in a natural position. Your elbow will be slight bent. Measure from the shoulder to elbow and from the elbow to the wrist.
Stand straight with barefoot together. Measure the length from the top of your head to the floor
Stand straight and measure the vertical distance from the hollow space between your collarbones to the waist line. The waist line is the narrowest part of your waist, which is usually one inch above your bellybutton.
