With all the waiting during the pandemic, we are so excited to see our brides and bridesmaids are finally going to celebrate one of the best days of their lives. We invite Candy to share her story and experience with us.

“I talked to Afarose virtual stylist and she helped me pick the mix & match colors. I decided to go with salmon pink and peach,” said Candy, “It is exactly what I envisioned my wedding to look like!” Candy told us that her bridesmaids are all very satisfied with their custom-sized dresses. “It fits perfectly,” said one of the bridesmaids, “and I just love my pockets!”

Our Story - written by Candy

Some said the story began in 2013 in a chapel in Murrieta, CA, when he saw the girl from San Diego sitting next to a window, with sun shining down on her face and turned her hair golden brown, and had that image imprinted deeply in his memory. Some would argue that the story began much later in 2017, when he was talking about the kind of girl he is looking for with a few friends over Class 302 mango snow ice, when later that night she messaged him to talk about something church-related and he realized "wait a minute...this girl checked all the boxes."

They soon started dating. She would take him to local ramen shops in Fullerton, where he was unimpressed with the food, and he would take her to Shin-Sen-Gumi aka the GOAT, where she was equally unimpressed. He would take her to Chicago, a city that's special to him with many love-and-hate memories, and had latte and almond croissant for breakfast together in the tranquil old town. She would take him to Hong Kong, the land of her Cantonese heritage, and had dim-sum run in midnight at the lively western district, Sheung Wan. They traveled to more places together and planned for even more in the future.

They are thankful every night when they pray together, that God had brought them into each other's lives. After about a year of dating, on 9/28/2019, he insisted on going for a walk at Huntington Beach, the city that almost never rained except on that day. Upon arriving, she found herself surrounded by family and closest friends. He sang the all-time-classic "Can't Help Falling in Love" that he totally did not copy off of an asian chick flick and she said "yes".

These streams of events lead to where we are today, where both Candy and Henry would like to invite you, a person of significant importance to the couple, to be a witness to the new chapter of their lives, and to celebrate together with food, wine, dance, and laughters.
