Who better to give you advice about your wedding day than real brides who have already experienced theirs? We have compiled these genuine tips to help you with all the little details, some you might have never thought about. So from one bride to another, here are the things you must read before your wedding day!
Spend the night with your new spouse.
"Focus on the person you are about to marry, not everyone in attendance. I spent the morning with my mom, the day with my bridesmaids, and I totally forgot to spend time with my husband during the reception. Looking back, I wish my memories were of spending time with him—not trying to keep the party going." — Ally, 24

Speak up during the toast.
"You, as the couple, should address your guests during the toast time. Both my husband and I said a little something, and our guests told us how much it meant to them because at so many weddings you only hear from the best man and the maid of honor." — Denise, 37

Remember to EAT.
"The ounces you may think you are saving by not eating on your wedding day can be costly. Low blood sugar can make you feel sick, irritable, and tired. Eat regularly (maybe even a little more), and put your most reliable bridesmaid or mom in charge of ensuring you do so." — Laurel, 34

Choose vendors you connect with.
Pick vendors whose work you love, but more importantly, who you love as people. They can be the most unexpected support system you have on your big day. - Emily, 28

Stay true to yourself.
"Do what makes you happy. It doesn't matter what tradition says, what family and friends say you are supposed to do. Do what makes the bride and groom happy. Create your own traditions, have fun, and dare to be different." - Lana, 31

Start dress shopping EARLY!
There's no time too early to start looking, but there is a time that's too late. Make sure to give yourself enough time to find a dress that makes you feel so good in and allow time for alterations!! These things can sometimes take weeks to perfect and that Is the last thing you should be worried about! - Nicole, 25

You will likely hear advice from everyone about how to plan your wedding, and probably even unsolicited advice. Remember to embrace only what is relevant to you. Make decisions from your heart. If something doesn't feel right, then listen to your gut. This is your special day to celebrate your love.
