OOTD Engagement

Back List

An official engagement party is a time to introduce key loved ones (especially immediate family members, i.e. both sides' parents) for the first time. This is also a great way for both of your families to get to know each other before the Big Day *less awkward too.  For the party, white tablecloths and candlelit dinners are the classic formal options. However, causal beer night or layback English brunch is totally okay.

In this guide, we introduce a few dresses for different settings.

Formal Dinner

Many brides-to-be actually choose white dresses for their engagement outfits. For this case, choose a little white dress or even a short wedding dress. Check out Isidore and Susanna from our elopement dress styles.

A saving tip from us is to not limit yourself to shopping for your dress at a pricey formal wear store. Instead, shop from bridesmaids' dress styles in white, which are a fraction of the price and also in flowy chiffon material.

Here are some bridesmaids dress to choose from Sylvia, Sophia, Candice

If you are bored with white, you can also choose other colors you would like! Colors such as pink or blue would be a perfect choice. Check out Blanche in Blushing Pink and Nelly Allure in Dark Navy.

Blanche is our editor's pick1 Look at her halter neckline design paired up with the modern lace pattern on the bodice. We can assure that this is ‘that’ statement dress you've been looking for.

Brunch/Lunch

If you are a down-to-earth or laidback person, brunch and lunch are a lot more casual and chill. Unlike the formal setting of a dinner party, we recommend knee-length dresses for an elegant and playful style.

Check out our styles Genesis and Elva

Compare to white tablecloths dinner, we encourage brides to wear anything but white. You may match with the current seasonal colors or go wild with our 50 colors!

For instance, wear our burnt brick dresses for a fall event or mint green for a summer event.
