I had my dress custom made. I had measurements done according to the tutorial on the website. After my dress arrived, I sent it to the tailor for adding a bustle, and she commended me on how accurate my dress was. She said it fit great and made very nicely.

This is a beautiful dress. I am 5’1 and 140lbs I ordered a size 10 and am considering a 8 for a Second try on! It definitely give princess vibes. The back is absolutely stunning. It also has a bit of sparkles all around!

I am beyond impressed with the quality of this dress! As someone who is 5’1” with a short torso and a slightly larger bust, shopping for a wedding dress has been an absolute nightmare. I honestly wasn’t expecting this dress to fit as well as it did, but it was true to size and fit almost perfectly. The only alterations I need are a hem for my height and a bustle.My dream has always been to have a beautiful lace train, and this dress made that dream come true. Even after hemming, the gorgeous lace design won’t be ruined because there’s about two inches of tulle extending past the lace at the bottom.The online photos don’t do this dress justice. The detailing is even more beautiful in person, and it has just the right amount of sparkle without being over the top. I officially said yes to this dress, and I couldn’t be happier! I would absolutely recommend it to any bride looking for a stunning, high-quality gown.

I had such a wonderful experience trying on the Marilou gown through Afarose’s Try-at-Home program.From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed. The gown is even more beautiful in person than it appears online. The nude lining is warm and flattering, the floral lace has gorgeous texture and detail, and the ruffled skirt and train are incredibly full, soft, and dramatic.As a plus-size bride, I was especially excited to see how beautifully the silhouette worked on my body. Marilou hugged my curves, defined my shape, and still felt romantic and elegant. Even though the try-on sample was not tailored specifically to me, I could clearly see the potential and immediately felt confident that this was the direction I wanted for my ceremony gown.The quality and comfort also stood out to me. The materials felt soft rather than stiff or scratchy, and the dress had the dramatic mermaid look I wanted without feeling overly heavy or uncomfortable. The train is absolutely stunning and will photograph beautifully.Afarose’s customer service has continued to be exceptional throughout this process. They have answered my questions honestly, helped me plan ahead for my ordering timeline, and even offered to check directly with their factory about matching lace, tulle, organza, and other coordinating materials for a custom alteration.Trying on Marilou confirmed what I had already hoped: this is my ceremony dress. I highly recommend Afarose’s Try-at-Home program, especially for brides who want the opportunity to experience the fit, quality, color, and movement of a gown before placing their final order.

This dress is very beautiful, the photos don’t even do it justice. The detail is exquisite, subtle sequins and beading throughout. The vine detail work is very unique, I haven’t seen any other dresses online or in person that looks like this. The dress would be wonderful for any season of wedding, it has a great whimsical yet classic feel. The dress is very comfortable, I’m usually between a size 8 and 10 and I ordered an 8 and it was just a little bit too small but almost perfect. There is a nice built it petticoat that gives the tulle skirt volume. The added shoulder detail of the shoulder capes are beautiful as well! The quality is excellent, I’ve been to many different bridal boutiques and tried dresses on and this is the same quality, but a much better price!
